I tired last night to get onto the board and saw the message. What went on?
I saw it was stated that there was some allegation of "abuse".....Was anything clarified?
Glad they got it back up.
Does anyone have a contingency plan for in case this website falls of the planet or gets shut down? Minus from having a few peoples email addy's here, I guess communication would be reestablished at the Lansing forum or AA?

In over 8 years of my ownership of this site we have had crashes, equipment failure, outages, etc. We always bounce back as proven by my track record. We also never lost any data had any security breeches, etc.
I have been running online communities for an excess of 20 years and am not about to stop as it is something I enjoy doing. Besides Hostboard, I work full time as well as campaign a professional monster truck. Part of the scramble last nigth was due to forums like yours that heavily rely on this site to be kept alive. Unlike other places I believe that the users have made Hostboard and deserve to know what is going on regardless of good or bad.
On the minuscule chance I ever decided to close shop there would be a for sale notice put up like the previous owners did in an effort to keep the site going. I would NOT just turn things off.
Bottom line is we will not fail or go away and we are full steam ahead on our planned upgrades for this year.

Well were not quite up yet as we are in the middle of tansfering the data. Once we are ready to move the database we will make DNS changes to point to the new server, close this side down, move the database and open on the new server.
I am suspecting there will be an outage roughly 2-4 hours between now and Saturday in doing all this.
I have until midnight on Saturday to make all this happen.

I would be glad to help out if I could, But i just got the news a little while ago that I am gong to be axed, along with others by the 13th of February.
